A Family Legacy
In 1886, Irvin Palm, and his family of eight children, were involved in the baking business, located at West Harrison Street in Chicago. It was at one time one of the largest bakeries in the city. From Irvin Palm's humble beginnings and through the generations, the bakery has continued. In the most recent years, it has been known as Emma Krumbee's Pie and Bread Company until assuming our new name in 2009.
The tradition of quality continues today at New Prague Pie and Bread Company. Established in 1979, as Emma Krumbees, the bakery is still providing superior bakery products. Over the past twenty years, our bakery has grown from one oven and a 40 quart mixer in one of our restaurants, to a modern, 12,000 square foot facility with additional off-site cold storage. Using premium-quality ingredients and family scratch recipes, our goal is to meet all of your baking needs with the highest standards.
